Accel AgroBiogas puts the spotlight on sustainable biogas at two conferences in January

In January, Accel AgroBiogas will participate in the Plant Congress 2026 in Herning and the Fjordland Congress in Skive to share knowledge and experience on how biogas production can be accelerated in a sustainable way.

Through the project, focused efforts are being made to strengthen the framework conditions for increased biogas production based on agricultural resources and residual streams. The conferences provide an excellent opportunity for dialogue with farmers, advisors, and other stakeholders who play a central role in the green transition.

Knowledge and dialogue on the future of biogas
At both the Plant Congress 2026 and the Fjordland Congress 2026, Skive Municipality and Aarhus University will be present to share insights into their work on accelerating biogas production in a sustainable manner. This includes how catch crops, grass, and other types of biomass can contribute to climate action, improved nutrient utilization, and the development of new, sustainable business opportunities in agriculture.

A central element of the project’s work is the so-called Living Labs, where new solutions and methods are tested in practice through close collaboration with farmers and biogas plants. The Living Labs function as test and learning environments where experiences from field operations and plant management are collected, documented, and shared, with the aim of generating knowledge that can be applied more broadly across agriculture and the biogas sector.
