Webinar: The EU Biomethane Mechanism – Opportunities for Regions

On 21 May, the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy, DG ENERGY, will host a webinar focusing on the biomethane mechanism under the EU Energy and Raw Materials Platform. The webinar is aimed particularly at regional authorities and other actors working with energy, climate, green transition and the development of the biogas and biomethane market.
The biomethane mechanism is part of the EU’s efforts to strengthen competitiveness, support decarbonisation and improve security of supply. Through the platform, the European Commission aims to facilitate interaction between demand and supply in a more transparent and structured way.
During the webinar, participants will learn how the mechanism can help address cross-border barriers, increase market visibility and create better conditions for investment in biomethane.
