Living Lab Skåne: Ingelsträde Gård
In Living Lab Skåne, we work together with several farms and biogas plants to explore how more agricultural biomass can be used for biogas production. At Ingelsträde Farm, winter rye is grown as a winter cover crop to help reduce nitrogen leaching and improve crop rotation. When the rye is harvested as green rye in May, before the next main crop is planted, the biomass can be used as a feedstock for biogas production. In the film, we follow the green rye from harvest to the biogas plant. It is chopped and delivered to Gasum Jordberga and C4 Energi in Kristianstad. Some of the biomass is also ensiled at Assargården in Glumslöv. Through this work, the project explores how agricultural biomass can contribute to increased production of biogas and digestate, while also strengthening the farming system.
