When the project partners gathered in Halland for a partner meeting, the focus was on collaboration within the project. It is clear that the project has entered an implementation phase. Several deliverables are already in place, while others are well underway, and during the meeting it became evident how much we have actually built together so far. We have taken important steps forward in terms of content, collaboration, and structure.<\/p>\n\n

A large part of the meeting was dedicated to in-depth discussions in smaller groups. Here, partners worked on topics spanning the entire value chain \u2013 from cropping systems and biomass flows to policy and regulatory frameworks. Discussions included carbon sequestration and catch crops, straw as bedding material in relation to animal welfare and biogas potential, as well as issues connected to the RED Directive and methane emissions from digestate. The work on a joint EU position paper on biomass in Nordic farming systems was also discussed.<\/p>\n\n

At the same time, the development of the project\u2019s Biomass Assessment Tool continues \u2013 a tool expected to become a valuable support for both farmers and biogas stakeholders in practice, as well as a foundation for future policy work.<\/p>\n\n

We also held joint sessions focused on alignment, coordination, and follow-up of the project\u2019s key deliverables. Among other things, discussions covered communication and how insights from H\u00f6gskolan i Halmstad\u2019s study on drivers and barriers can help strengthen the project\u2019s continued work moving forward.<\/p>\n\n

One thing that becomes clear every time we meet is the strength of collaboration. Between advisors, researchers, regional stakeholders, and project partners, a valuable exchange of knowledge is emerging where ideas are tested, perspectives meet, and new solutions take shape. The cross-border collaboration between Sweden and Denmark not only creates learning \u2013 it drives real development. \n \nIn all the work we do, there is also a strong focus on ensuring that the knowledge, tools, and solutions developed within the project find their way back to farmers, biogas companies, and decision-makers. The goal is to contribute to increased biogas production that supports the green transition, strengthens energy resilience, and at the same time creates new opportunities and revenue streams for agriculture.<\/p>\n\n

The partner meeting demonstrated that Accel AgroBiogas is a project where collaboration is at the core, and where we together are building both knowledge and capacity to drive the development of sustainable biogas production forward.<\/p>\n\n
